We seek a talented Nurse Paralegal to work with our Medical Malpractice defense team who will enthusiastically embrace our firm's values and culture. Position responsibilities include:

  • Organizing, reviewing, analyzing, and summarizing medical records.
  • Identifying expert witnesses.
  • Maintaining expert database, including their CVs, fees, HIPAA agreements, and opinions.
  • Conducting research to identify all healthcare providers of the plaintiff/patient.
  • Preparing medical analysis summary reports for attorneys.
  • Researching medical and nursing literature regarding case issues.
  • Assisting attorneys with preparation for client meetings and depositions.

Requirements: The successful candidate will enjoy working in our team environment, collaborating with attorneys, other paralegals, and administrative professional. Qualifications include:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) certification and clinical experience.
  • Prior Nurse Paralegal or Legal Nurse Consulting experience.
  • At least ten (10) years of total in-hospital clinical nursing experience, preferably involving a wide range of practice areas or an academic medical center setting.
  • Risk management or healthcare quality experience is a plus.
